When I wrote Do You Remember Me, it was based on my experience after I saw an ex some time ago across an aisle in a store. They didn’t see me. I had ended the relationship but when I saw them, I was frozen to the spot as memories of all the good times we had shared came flooding back and ran like a little film across my mind. I began asking myself…did I do the right thing? Should I go back? and it is from this experience and from similar ones faced by friends, the song was born. Ultimately, Do You Remember Me is about remembering the good times but realising that you left for a reason and its best to move on.
